Yesterday saw the launch of The Little Book of Rules. This is something we wanted to make available to act as a handy guide for anyone serious about automation.
For more information go to the DriveWorks Bookstore
This book aims to give you the low down on building rules using DriveWorksXpress and DriveWorks. It contains a handy reference guide for the more commonly used rules and how to apply them to automate your designs.
It also describes nesting and how it can be applied to make more powerful rules, how to string rules together to build dynamic text expressions.
There are references to the mathematical and comparison operators that can be used, the characters DriveWorks recognises to perform tasks, and the results needed from the rule to feed into the captured SolidWorks parameter.
The book also explores the areas where rules can be applied in DriveWorks – From user forms, form controls, variables, sub-projects, macros, form warnings, specification, driving documents, sending dynamic emails, to all the parameters that can be controlled in your SolidWorks Assemblies, Parts and Drawings.
Learn how to make the most of DriveWorks in built functions to simplify form selections and perform multi-directional lookups on database or excel data utilized in your DriveWorks projects. Discover how DriveWorks makes it easy to make use of your existing database data in your projects and how rules can control what information is exported back into them.
In short this 'little' book is BIG on content, an essential companion to have at your side when working with DriveWorksXpress AND DriveWorks.
