DriveWorks to attend CADD Edge Training and User Event 2012

On Thursday 8^th – Friday 9^th November 2012 – DriveWorks will be attending the Caddedge SolidWorks 2013 Launch Event in Mashantucket, CT.

 

CADD Edge are holding a two day training event for SolidWorks users at the MGM Grand-Foxwoods, CT in November.

The DriveWorks team will also be at this event, demonstrating our Design Automation and Sales Configurator Solutions.

Make sure you stop by the booth to see how you can design and configure products that are the same, but different.

DriveWorks attending Solid Solutions Management Events.

During November 2012 – DriveWorks will be supporting our Partners, Solid Solutions Management, at their SolidWorks 2013 Launch Events in the following locations:

 8^th November – Gaydon

13^th November – Southampton

15^th November – York

"The World's Greatest Living Explorer" Sir Ranulph Fiennes will be presenting at the Solid Solutions Management  Gaydon event on Thursday 8th November.

The events will also include: breakout sessions, competitions and more What's New in SolidWorks than ever before. 

Members of the DriveWorks team will  be on hand to provde test drives of our Design Automation and Sales Configurator Solutions. DriveWorks to attend CATI event - October 2012

On Thursday 18^th October 2012 – DriveWorks will be supporting our Partners CATI by attending their SolidWorks 2013 Launch Event in Hoffmann Estates, IL.

CATI are holding various Design Innovation Summits throughout October 2012 in 5 different locations.

NEW - DriveWorks Weekly Webinars!

From 2nd August 2012 - DriveWorks is launching a series of weekly webinars on specialist topics, demonstrating how to get the most from DriveWorks Software.

The webinars are designed to provide added value to all DriveWorks Customers with an active subscription support contract and of course our DriveWorks Resellers.

These Value Add webinars will include topics that show how to use the software e.g. 'Specification Flow' (basic and advanced sessions) and also tips and tricks suggesting how to improve the use of DriveWorks e.g. 'Funk Up Your Forms'.

The first session 'From DriveWorks Solo to DriveWorks Pro' is available to EVERYONE on Thursday 2nd August 4pm-5pm (BST).

If you already know about DriveWorks Solo and would like to do more, then this webinar is ideal for you. It reveals some of the additional functionality available in DriveWorks Pro and sets out the steps to using DriveWorks as a Sales Configurator.

Product Data Management - DriveWorks Pro Integration with Enterprise PDM

Product Data Management is a topic that we are often asked about. And because DriveWorks is so good at generating documents and data automatically, we wanted to make sure that for those companies that are interested in managing all those files that we could provide an immediate solution.

DriveWorks Pro can be set up to automatcially integrate with SolidWorks and SolidWorks Enterprise PDM to securely store all documents created by DriveWorks in the design process.

An example of how it works

1. Say you configure a cupboard in a browser, using DriveWorks Pro Live. You fill out the form including quote number, customer name, materials, dimensions etc...

 

2. When your design is complete and you click 'Release', DriveWorks Pro Autopilot starts working in the background to generate the new files.

 

3. As DriveWorks Pro Autopilot creates all the files, these are sent into the SolidWorks Enterprise PDM Vault.

 

4. When this is complete, you can open up the location where DriveWorks has saved the files: you can see the drawings, models, parts assemblies have all been automatically been checked in to the EPDM vault.

 

 

 

 

As you can see, when you configure your design on the web and click go, everything in the background has been created and checked in.

It's really easy to set up, via the settings screens in DriveWorks Pro. Just enter: Vault Name, User Name and Password, etc - and then DriveWorks takes care of the rest.
